Slovakia, the 17th-ranked women's hockey team in the world, scored a major upset during an Olympic qualifying tournament last weekend, beating Germany, Kazakhstan and France to win a spot at the 2010 Games in Vancouver.

Goalie Zuzana Tomcikova recorded consecutive shutouts against Germany, ranked seventh, and 10th-ranked Kazakhstan to help her team secure an Olympic berth.

Team Slovakia's reward? They'll face No. 1 ranked Canada during round-robin play. China also qualified for the Olympics with victories over Norway, the Czech Republic and Japan.

The Olympic women's tournament will shape up as follows:

Group A: Canada, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia

Group B: United States, Finland, Russia, China

The women's hockey tournament at the 2010 Winter Games begin Feb. 13.
