Free-agent forward Scott Young is being reunited with former linemate Pierre Turgeon.

Young, 34, signed a two-year contract with the Dallas Stars yesteday.

The right winger had 19 goals and 22 assists with the St. Louis Blues last season. Turgeon scored only 15 goals for the Stars for his lowest output since his 1987-88 rookie National Hockey League season, which is a big reason why the Stars sought to sign Young.

Young, a native of Clinton, Mass., had his best offensive season with the Blues in 2000-2001 when he posted a career-best 40 goals and 33 assists for a career-high 73 points playing extensively alongside Turgeon.
