McAfee, Inc. has announced the availability of McAfee Secure Messaging Service for Small Businesses and McAfee Secure Messaging Service for Enterprises. Based on the Postini Perimeter Manager product line, the new McAfee products offer e-mail threat prevention and flexible policy management to business customers looking to reduce the burden of securing and managing their e-mail systems. The McAfee Secure Messaging Service solutions, which were formerly referred to as McAfee Managed Mail Protection, are part of the McAfee secure content management family and have been designed to help businesses optimize resources, increase productivity and prevent company policy compromises.

McAfee Secure Messaging Services' architecture ensures that mails are secure and private, and reduces management overhead by allowing users to manage their own filtering profiles and quarantines. With no hardware or software to purchase, install, or manage, the cost-effective service enhances business continuity and employee productivity by eliminating threats and unwanted mail before they ever reach the network.

In a related announcement, announced its Platinum Support Technical Account Managers will deliver highly specialized support services with its security expertise and knowledge. The managers will provide McAfee Platinum Support customers and SecurityAlliance ElitePartners with enhanced technical and implementation support.

Launched in April, the McAfee Platinum Support package offers enterprise customers and ElitePartners round-the-clock access to certified security specialists, rapid phone responses for technical questions, and intuitive, high-quality on-line Web content for both specific product and general industry information.
