Former Microsoft Canada president Frank Clegg has joined Navantis Inc., a provider of premium IT services, as corporate director and chairman. His primary focus is to assist the company's senior leadership team with planning and business development. He will also help Navantis refine its delivery model to offer customers consistent development and deployment of the company's products and services.

His strategic management expertise is expected to enable Navantis to continue working with clients while finding ways to extend the company's business through new service offerings to support both existing and potential clients.

Mr. Clegg joined Microsoft Corp. in 1991, and headed the Canadian subsidiary until 1996. During this time he introduced several key initiatives to improve efficiency, growth and market share, which helped him win the President's Award for outstanding subsidiary performance five times in six years. In 1996, Mr. Clegg was appointed Vice President Central U.S. and Canada Region and was re-appointed President of Microsoft Canada in 2000, where he remained until January 2005. Under Mr. Clegg's supervision, Microsoft Canada was awarded Subsidiary of the Year in 2001 and 2003 by Microsoft Corp.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Clegg spent several years with IBM Canada in senior management positions. Mr. Clegg holds an Honours Degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. He is also co-chair of the Canadian National Institute for the Blind's national capital campaign.
