TORONTO, April 15 - Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc. a subsidiary of McLean, Virginia-based Primus Telecommunications Group, Inc., has acquired Ottawa-based Magma Communications Ltd., a provider of Internet products and services to corporate, government and residential clients in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Magma's product offerings include Internet access, web development, website hosting, server co-location and managed services (system administration and security). Magma operates Internet data centres in Ottawa and Toronto.
The acquisition adds approximately 30,000 customers to Primus Canada's existing Internet customer base of more than 70,000.
