Upping the hot chick ante: Vancouver hip-hoppers Swollen Members have have recruited three porn stars for their latest video.
We always thought the band name Swollen Members referred to bloated parliamentarians, but now, with the just-completed video for their single Porn Star , the Vancouver-based hip hop group triggers more carnal allusions. The Members recruited a trio of U.S. adult film stars to take part in a sexually explicit promotional video to be released in advance of the band's album, Armed to the Teeth , due Oct. 13.
"The idea of leaving the club with a hot girl is age-old," reasons group co-founder Kiley (Prevail) Hendriks, "but the fantasy of leaving with a porn star is something brand new." Likewise, while booty-shaking mamas and sleeker ladies are common in hip hop videos (which are often criticized for their misogynistic content), the participation of out-and-out adult-film performers is rare. In 2002, the blue-eyed rapper Eminem released a music video featuring porn star Jenna Jameson.
Ready for their close-up in the Members' Porn Star are real-life hardcore actresses Sarah Jessie ( This Ain't the Partridge Family ), Veronica Rayne ( Seduced by a Cougar ) and Brooke Haven ( Glamour Models Gone Bad ).
The video, which will have a tamer version as well as the X-rated edition, was shot in a Vancouver penthouse by directors Chad Archibald and Philip Carrer of Black Fawn Films. The three band-mates (including Mad Child and Rob the Viking) do not participate in any pornographic scenes. In that sense, the Members are honourable.
