Ontario's hotels, inns and restaurants must be doing something right. There's been a dramatic increase this year in the number of establishments receiving four-diamond awards from the CAA/AAA.
This year 50 lodgings and 29 restaurants in the province received the prestigious designation, up from 30 lodgings and 16 restaurants a year ago. Five-diamond winners, if any, will be announced later this spring. Last year Truffles restaurant in the Four Seasons Toronto was Ontario's only winner in the top category.
