Amano Cuts FY2026 Profit Forecasts as Key Systems Businesses Lag
Amano ( (JP:6436) ) has shared an announcement.
Amano has cut both consolidated and non-consolidated earnings forecasts for the first half and full year ending March 31, 2027, citing weaker-than-expected performance in key segments. While full-year consolidated net sales are unchanged at JPY 184 billion, operating profit is now projected to be 20 billion, down 16.7% from the previous forecast, with net income expected to fall 17.6%.
At the parent company, information systems were hit by a post-Windows 10 replacement slowdown and slower-than-planned uptake of the new TimePro-eX product, compounded by higher software amortization costs. Parking systems and environmental systems also lagged, with new camera-based and cashless parking offerings yet to scale and order backlogs skewed to the second half, while North American and Asian subsidiaries remained sluggish.
Management expects steady domestic group performance and backlog-driven sales in parking and environmental systems but acknowledges that recovery in information systems, a core earnings driver, will take time and cannot offset the first-half shortfall this year. The company is pushing AI-equipped products and new parking solutions to restore a profit growth trajectory from the next fiscal year, signaling a transitional period for investors and other stakeholders.
