Nippon Paint Holdings has disclosed that Nipsea International Limited, which holds 55.56% of its voting rights, is its parent company, cementing the structure of a corporate group shaped by a long-standing partnership in Asia. That alliance, dating back to 1962 with Wuthelam Group as an Asian sales agent and joint venture partner, culminated in Nippon Paint acquiring all related Asian joint ventures and Indonesia equity interests in 2021, consolidating full ownership of its regional businesses.
The company stressed that it operates under its own management policies and is not subject to business constraints from its parent despite Nipsea appointing one board director and receiving ¥20.7 billion in dividends in fiscal 2025.
